One of our favourites! The Yogi Bears Ranger's station we had the privilege of building in 2009. This unique structure, now a tourist attraction, is located in Mamaku, about 20 minutes from Rotorua, New Zealand. After filming it got its second life and was moved to Mamaku to become the base for rail cruising operations. The cabin was constructed as a replica of Yellowstone’s park ranger’s station, and it was used in the Yogi bear movie. A little slice of the woods built for the big screen.
The setting of Mulan’s quaint hometown is inspired by the incredible doughnut-shaped Hakka walled villages located in southern China. However these picturesque villages and interior courtyard scene was built and filmed in a studio in New Zealand.
